It's *Monday*. Say "thank you".

Our week of fun started last Monday when Aunt Katie got to take the day off. We met her for a play date and enjoyed the beautiful day. She made us a delicious breakfast and then we walked around her awesome neighborhood. I wish all Mondays could be like that.

Aunt Katie has a cozy shoulder.

A beautiful girl on a beautiful day.

Later in the week, after all of the rainstorms had passed, Aunt Sass and Olivia came over for more play time. Aunt Steez surprised us with a gift and she asked that we open it together. It was a book chronicling our friendship, with pictures from our crazy days nearly a decade ago up to pictures of Aunt Steez holding babies. You have to watch out. Every once in a while she will get all squishy when you least expect it. We love her.

Eddy is embarrassed that he doesn't know how to read.
We also got some really quality snuggle time with Aunt Ali this week. She loves smooshing those awesome Eddy cheeks. We are so lucky to have her.

We went on a walk around the neighborhood with Hazel and her mama. She is so stinkin' cute. And already has impeccable taste in footwear.

Already planning her SXSW outfits.
How ridiculously amazing are these boots?
Lucy loves cruising around with Eddy, especially to the park. We are making the most of this spring-like winter.

Our sweet friend, Blanca, sent us the most amazing cupcakes that were just as sweet as her. Eddy was wired for the rest of the night after eating one. Just kidding!

On Sunday morning, we got up very early, bundled up, and chased Papa, Uncle Rich, and Maura as they ran the 3M Half Marathon. Olivia was very good at looking for "Dada" and Eddy did what he does best: slept. The runners did awesome.

We started in this outfit but decided it was a bit much.
Much better.

So proud of Papa!
Uncle Rich rocked!
That afternoon, we went to our neighborhood park as a family. It seems that a lot of people had the same idea as us because the park was packed with kick ball players, pups, and kids. Lucy played fetch and we enjoyed the sun.

We went out to dinner at Polvo's on Sunday night with Sara, Richie, Ali, and Jared. It's nights like that that make me realize how much I love our friends. We laughed and ate delicious food. As we were getting up to leave, Papa spotted a plaque glued to the table next to us that commemorates the owner of Threadgill's, Eddie Wilson!

But my very favorite moment of the week lasted just a few seconds. Eddy gave me a series of perfect little smiles, dimples and all. I can tell that he is going to be a little comedian.

Love ya, little boy.

It's Sunday, January 22. Eddy is 1 month old!

Mama said, "Let's take a picture in front of cool numbers to celebrate Eddy's months!"

Papa said, "This isn't easy."

But he's so dang cute it doesn't even matter.

We took Eddy's first month picture in front of the 1 in our home address. It marks the place he was born and the place where we spent most of our time.

First, a few outtakes:

And the one where he kinda looks like he's smiling:

You are one month old, Eddy Wilson!

Best month of our lives. We are so thankful.

Friday I'm in love.

Eddy Waymon, I fall more in love with you everyday. What's not to love? I think I'm the luckiest mom in the world that I get to stare at you all day. And while I have you as my captive audience in my arms and you're not yet rolling your eyes at me, let me tell you a few of the things I love about you right now.

1. Your sneezes - They are seriously THE CUTEST thing I have ever seen in my life. Ever. I am trying to figure out a way to perfectly time one in order to capture it on film.

2. Your hungry face when it's time to eat - You open your mouth so big, scrunch your nose, and shake your head back and forth until you latch on. It's ferocious.

3. The way you flop your arms above your head when you sleep - it makes you look like a little man.

4. Your cheeks. For a few weeks now, I have just loved your cheeks for what they are - yours. But after hanging out with other newborns this week, I have realized that they are more than that. They are huge and they are magnificent. We will photograph them in all their glory before I eat them up.

5. The way you calm down when you hear my voice or I walk into the room - I'm your mama and you know it. That is the most amazing thing I have ever been able to say: "I'm your mama."

And now, a barrage of photos:

This week, Auditorium Shores was taken over by Lumiariums by Architects of Air. We met Nicole, Combs, and baby Hazel there. It was awesome and we took lots of pictures.

We also visited Papa at work and added a few new members to the Eddy Wilson fan club.
We made the most of this awesome 70 degree weather this week and took Lucy on a ton of walks.
